Global recruitment and educational services
Bringing out the best in human resources
Future-oriented support for diversity management to make the most of global human resources
In anticipation of the post-COVID-19 world, we suggest proposals to help companies create a system for employing human resources from overseas on a long-term basis, build the kind of organization where each person’s individuality and abilities can be harnessed to the full, provide support for communication that transcends language barriers, and offer education and training programs in Japanese language and job content. From human resources working under the Japanese government’s Specified Skilled Worker Program to professionals with specialized skills and knowledge, our goal is to provide opportunities for companies to maximize each individual’s abilities, helping them generate innovation and create value.
Self-career Dock System for organizational development and human resource development
About the Self-career Dock System
The Self-career Dock System is a comprehensive approach or “mechanism” within a company to promote and support employees’ self-driven career development by systematically and regularly assisting employees through a combination of career consulting interviews and various career training programs based on the company’s human resource development vision and policy. (From Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare: Policies for Introducing the Self-career Dock System and its Implementation)
Effects of introducing the Self-career Dock System
1. For employees: improved career awareness, work motivation and fulfillment
2. For companies: revitalization of the organization through a vitalized and solid human resource base
Communico can arrange for career consultants who are fluent in a foreign language to create plans and conduct interviews on behalf of companies.
We also provide a range of interpretation and translation services to assist with all the necessary procedures.
Companies can also receive subsidies for introducing and implement the Self-career Dock System.

Support for companies accepting human resources under the Japanese government’s Specified Skilled Worker Program as a registered support organization
About the Specified Skilled Worker Program
The “Specified Skilled Worker” status of residence, newly introduced in April 2019, allows foreign nationals with a certain level of expertise and skills to work in 14 industries with severe labor shortages. By accepting foreign nationals with specified skills who can immediately contribute to the workforce, companies can solve the problem of securing human resources. There are two categories under this scheme: Specified Skilled Worker (i) status and Specified Skilled Worker (ii) status. Those with Specified Skilled Worker (i) status require the support of an accepting organization or a registered support organization.
Key points of Category 1 Specified Skilled Worker status
For details, please see the Immigration Services Agency of Japan’s “Support Website for the Specified Skilled Worker Program”.
14 employment fields covered by Category 1 Specified Skilled Worker status
Nursing care, building cleaning management, machine parts and tooling industries, industrial machinery industry, electric, electronics and information industries, construction industry, shipbuilding and ship machinery industry, automobile repair and maintenance, aviation industry, accommodation industry, agriculture, fishery and aquaculture, manufacture of food and beverages, food service industry
About registered support organizations
Companies (accepting organizations) that hire a foreign national with Specified Skilled Worker (i) status are required to prepare and submit a support plan to show how they will support the foreign national in his/her professional, daily, and social life, and to implement all the support stipulated by law. A registered support organization can provide support based on the plan on behalf of the accepting organization through a consignment contract with the accepting organization. Communico was certified as a registered support organization by the Immigration Services Agency of Japan in January 2022, and provides the following support services.
Main support services
Pre-arrival guidance on working conditions, etc., pick-up and drop-off on arrival and departure, support for housing and lifeline contracts, orientations on daily life, accompanying foreign nationals to complete official procedures, providing opportunities to learn Japanese, handling of consultations and complaints, promotion of social interaction with Japanese people, support for changing jobs, periodic consultations, etc.

Custom-made planning and implementation of your own training programs and original materials
We plan and produce your original training programs and materials for newly hired foreign personnel, including those with Specified Skilled Worker status, covering a variety of topics tailored to each workplace, such as knowledge necessary for living and working in Japan.
Training and teaching materials for Japanese culture and manners
We provide video materials for foreign nationals coming to Japan for the first time to learn about life, culture, customs, and work manners in Japan. In addition to being used for pre-arrival and post-arrival guidance for foreign nationals with Specified Skilled Worker status, our video materials can also be used by schools accepting international students and companies newly hiring human resources from overseas.
Japanese language video materials tailored to specific industries
We produce video materials that enable people to learn terms and commonly used phrases in industries with relatively large foreign workforces. By using educational materials tailored to specific industries, such as nursing care, accommodation, construction, and manufacturing, foreign workers will be able to communicate smoothly on the job.
Online Japanese lessons
We offer online lessons to help foreign nationals learn Japanese for daily life and work. For those who are busy and cannot spare much time, lessons can be taken in 30-minute sessions. The more opportunities they have to speak with a Japanese instructor, the more their Japanese will improve. Because it is online, lessons can be taken from anywhere in the world. For applications made through a company accepting foreign workers, we also offer a package that allows family members of employees to take the course at a reasonable rate as part of the company’s welfare program.
We are here to help companies facing the following kinds of challenges.
